Genesis & Exodus Survey. Session 22

This final class of the quarter connects the tabernacle with the creation story and traces the idea through its furnishings, Sabbath pattern, and worship. The class also revisits Exodus’s account of God’s mercy and justice, then considers Jethro’s Midianite background and the possibility that Moses learned about Yahweh through that community. The speaker presents the Kenite hypothesis as an intriguing possibility rather than a settled conclusion. The session includes participant discussion and closes by returning to Jethro’s role in Exodus.
